Miami Airport Car Service

Miami International is the main gateway between the United States and Latin America. It handles a large share of international arrivals, many of them families with plenty of luggage or cruise passengers heading to PortMiami. Its single horseshoe-shaped building has three terminal areas and six concourses, and the walk from gate to curb can be long, so a chauffeur who meets you inside makes a real difference.

Luxury Ride Pro meets MIA arrivals and drives to South Beach, Brickell, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, Fort Lauderdale and PortMiami. The airport layout details below come from Miami International's official website.

Pickup rules last checked against the official airport website on October 18, 2026

Miami International Terminals

  • North Terminal (Concourse D)

A long concourse with its own Skytrain, with four stations reached by elevator. North Terminal bus station: Concourse D, level 1, Door 1.

  • Central Terminal (Concourses E, F, G)

The middle of the horseshoe, with moving walkways to the MIA Mover station for the Rental Car Center.

  • South Terminal (Concourses H, J)

Many international flights. South Terminal bus station: Concourse J, level 1, Door 33.

  • Levels

Level 1 baggage claim (arrivals), Level 2 check-in and ticketing (departures), Level 3 moving walkways between terminals.

How Pickup Works at Miami International

From Miami International's official ground transportation pages:

  • Taxis and ride-app zones are on the arrivals (ground) level outside the baggage claim areas. Ride apps can also pick up on level 2 (departures). Check your app for door numbers.
  • Pre-arranged cruise line transportation uses the North bus station (Concourse D, level 1, Door 1) or the South bus station (Concourse J, level 1, Door 33).
  • MIA does not publish a separate curb for limousines or pre-arranged cars on its ground transportation page. Your chauffeur meets you inside and texts the exact door.
  • Soliciting rides inside the terminal is illegal at MIA. Ignore anyone offering transport and look for uniformed staff with MIA badges.
  • PortMiami is about 9 miles from the airport.

Meet & Greet: How Your Chauffeur Finds You

  1. 1We track your flight live, which matters at MIA because many international flights arrive in waves and delays are common in storm season.
  2. 2Domestic passengers are met on Level 1 at the baggage claim carousel with a digital name sign. International passengers are met outside the customs exit.
  3. 3Your chauffeur takes you to the nearest door on the arrivals level, where the car is brought up. In the summer heat that means less time waiting outside.
  4. 4For cruise transfers, we load luggage and drive straight to your terminal at PortMiami.

Flight Tracking & Free Wait Time

Our dispatch team uses real-time flight tracking software and automatically adjusts your chauffeur's arrival time for early arrivals or delays, with free wait on delayed flights. Customs at MIA can be slow when several international flights land together, so international arrivals include extra free wait time.

PortMiami Cruise Transfers From MIA

Many of our MIA pickups are cruise passengers. The airport is about 9 miles from PortMiami, and the drive usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic over the port bridge. Ships sail in the afternoon, and boarding windows start late morning, so we watch your flight and plan the drop-off around your cruise line's check-in time.

On disembarkation day the process runs in reverse. We meet you at the cruise terminal after you clear customs, load the luggage and go straight to MIA, FLL or your hotel. SUVs and Sprinters are the right choice for a full week of cruise luggage.

Beaches, Brickell and Business Arrivals

Business travelers arriving at MIA usually head to Brickell or Downtown, about 15 to 25 minutes away on SR-836. Leisure guests go to South Beach and Mid-Beach over the MacArthur or Julia Tuttle causeways. Coral Gables and Coconut Grove are among the closest neighborhoods to the airport. Hourly service works well for a day of meetings or a night out on Ocean Drive.

Arrivals From Latin America and Europe

MIA is the U.S. hub for many South American, Central American and Caribbean routes, and evening arrival banks from Europe are common. Your chauffeur meets you outside the customs exit with a name sign and helps with luggage carts, which matters after a long-haul flight.

Vehicles for Miami International Transfers

Cruise and international travelers usually need an Escalade or Suburban for luggage. A Sprinter handles a family group heading to the port, and sedans or the S-Class suit business trips to Brickell.

Miami International Tips From Our Dispatch Team

  • For a same-day cruise, book a morning flight that lands well before boarding time. We can wait while you collect bags and drive straight to the port.
  • The Central Terminal (E, F, G) and the South Terminal (H, J) are a long walk apart. Share your concourse with us so the chauffeur waits at the right baggage claim.
  • Causeway traffic to Miami Beach is heaviest on weekend evenings. Allow extra time for dinner reservations after you land.
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is an alternative for Aventura, Bal Harbour and Port Everglades. We serve both airports.
