LAX Airport Car Service
LAX is in the middle of a major modernization program, with an automated people mover and new transit and rental car facilities. To ease traffic, standard taxi and ride-app pickups moved to the LAX-it lot next to Terminal 1. Many travelers do not realize that limousines, town cars and executive car services were not moved. A pre-booked chauffeur still picks you up right outside baggage claim.
Luxury Ride Pro meets LAX arrivals at every terminal and drives to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Century City, Downtown LA, Pasadena and Orange County. The pickup rules below come from Los Angeles World Airports' official LAX-it page.
Pickup rules last checked against the official airport website on October 18, 2026
LAX Terminals
Central Terminal Area (CTA)
Eight numbered terminals and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) arranged around a horseshoe-shaped loop road. Arrivals and baggage claim are on the lower level, departures on the upper level.
Tom Bradley International Terminal
Most long-haul international flights, between Terminals 3 and 4. Parking Structure 3 sits between TBIT and Terminal 3.
Terminals 7 and 8
At the far end of the loop. LAWA notes a limited taxi stand at the far end of Terminal 7 outside baggage claim, and a signed walking route from Terminal 7 across to LAX-it.
LAX-it lot
Next to Terminal 1. Used for taxis and standard ride-app pickups only, not for limousines or pre-arranged car services.
How Pickup Works at LAX
From Los Angeles World Airports' official LAX-it guidance:
- “LAX-it does not affect limousine or executive car pickup.” Limousines, town cars and private vehicles still pick up in the Central Terminal Area.
- “Pick-up locations for limousines and town cars are at the outer most curb on the first level outside of baggage claim.”
- Taxis and standard ride-app trips (Uber, Lyft) pick up at LAX-it, reached by a free shuttle from the green stops on level one outside baggage claim, or on foot from Terminal 1 and Terminal 7.
- Premium app tiers such as Uber Black, Uber Black SUV and Lyft Lux still pick up at the terminals.
- Hotel shuttles pick up on level 2 (departures). Parking and rental car shuttles use the lower-level outer curb.

Meet & Greet: How Your Chauffeur Finds You
- 1We track your flight in real time, including the long-haul Pacific and European flights that land at TBIT.
- 2Your chauffeur meets you inside baggage claim with a digital name sign. International arrivals are met outside the customs exit.
- 3You walk out together to the outer curb on the lower level, the official limousine and town car pickup location, where the car is brought up.
- 4No shuttle to LAX-it, and no waiting in the ride-app line.
Flight Tracking & Free Wait Time
Our dispatch team uses real-time flight tracking software and automatically adjusts your chauffeur's arrival time for early arrivals or delays, with free wait on delayed flights. Tom Bradley International arrivals often stack up in the evening, so international arrivals include extra free wait time for immigration and baggage.
Construction at LAX and Why It Matters
LAWA created LAX-it because construction removed up to 30% of the CTA curb used for pickups and drop-offs. Moving taxis and ride apps to a separate lot freed space at the terminals, and LAWA estimated it would cut CTA traffic by about 15%. For a traveler with a pre-booked chauffeur, the effect is a shorter walk and less competition at the curb, but the loop road can still be slow at peak times.
Our chauffeurs plan the approach around those conditions. They wait outside the CTA until you have your bags, then come in to the outer curb at your terminal so you are not standing on the sidewalk while the car is stuck on World Way.
Westside, Downtown and Orange County Trips
Most of our LAX trips go to the Westside (Santa Monica, Venice, Brentwood, Century City and Beverly Hills), Downtown LA, Hollywood, or south to Orange County. Each has its own traffic pattern: the 405 north is slowest in the late afternoon, the 105 and 110 are the usual way downtown, and the 405 south to Irvine can vary by an hour depending on the day. Your confirmation includes an approximate drive time, and the chauffeur updates you on the way.

LAX Tips From Our Dispatch Team
- Do not go to LAX-it for your pre-booked car. Limousines and town cars still load at the lower-level outer curb outside baggage claim.
- The 405 and the 105 are the main routes out, but surface streets such as Sepulveda, La Cienega or Lincoln Boulevard are sometimes faster. We pick the route from live traffic.
- For Orange County, flying into John Wayne (SNA) can save an hour. We serve both airports.
- Hourly bookings work well for a day of meetings or an awards-season evening after you land.
